17 years, 2 student teaching stints and 185 credit hours later...
Yes folks! I finally did it. I finally received a teaching degree! I know, it's hard to believe and I'm still not convinced myself until that official document is in my possession along with a teaching certificate. However, here are the photos for proof. Julie Ann Hollingshead Olpin is officially degreed! My little family and my dear Papa even loved me enough to drive and hour out into the middle of nowhere (and I do mean NOWHERE Nebraska) to be my own personal cheering section! My Dad had only been home from a two week vacation to Switzerland for one day before he boarded another plane and flew out for the occasion. Mom couldn't make it as she had no vacation time left after Europe but I know you were there in spirit Mom!

You know, I couldn't be more proud of you if you had won the Nobel Peace Prize. Seriously! After all of the hoops and cr*p that they sent you through, you should have been tap dancing across that stage in a tutu! I am so excited for you. You have earned so much adoration and respect from me. Like that says a ton!
